Bohol Countryside Tour (1st day)

This is my first out of town vacation trip and plane experience. I am really excited to share to you what happened on our trip.

March 14, 2008 2:00am – Ardee and I meet at Starbucks Shangri-la and look for a taxi that will get us to Mcdo in Evangelista Makati. When we got there, we have waited for an hour to meet Ate Mylene and go to Domestic Airport in Pasay. We arrive to the airport so early, but it is alright to be early because there are so many people and we have to go through the initial checking, pay the terminal fee (P200.00) and so on. At exactly 5:15am, our flight number has just been called and we are now going inside the plane.

But as we wait for our plane, we took some pictures of our ticket.

More pictures as we arrived to Tagbilaran…

This will be the start of our tour. We avail the package tour of Spencer but unfortunately, he was not able to attend to us because he has an emergency meeting in Cebu. So, he sent us a different tour guide that will fetch us in the airport.

Oh! Where is our tour guide? I have contacted him and yes we’ve seen him. He was just in front of me. hahaha :)

1. Blood Compact Site

2. Baclayon Church

3. Baclayon Museum

The museum is beside Baclayon Church. We went inside but didn’t take any pictures because cameras and cellphone with cameras is not allowed to use inside the premises.

4. Chocolate Hills

Chocolate Hills is located at Carmen. Actually along the way, you will already see some of the hills. But in order for you to have a better view of it, you have to climb the 214 steps to see the top view of it.

5. Butterfly Garden

Actually it is not included in our tour package itinerary, but because we demanded our good tour guide to bring us there for the moment and he did not hesitate to do so.

We went inside for about 5 minutes to see the butterflies flew from side to side of the net and we even touched them. You can rarely see butterflies nowadays in Manila maybe because of the pollution and the people who has no heart for the good creation of God. I do really like them as they are so beautiful.

6. Man-made Forest

It is a project of the government before and now it is one of the best tourist spot in Bohol. I felt like I am in different country while travelling in between those big trees.

7. Hanging Bridge

It's really scary at first when you tried to walk in the bridge that keeps on moving and screeching. Scared that when you're in the middle, it will fall apart. waaa!

8. Buko King

At the end of the Hanging Bridge, Buko King will greet and entertain you with his amazing talent. He is known here in the Philippines because he can open a Buko using his teeth only.

9. Loboc River Floating Restaurant

Loboc river is known for its green water and the floating restaurants. The best time to go there is during lunch time because floating restau will be open at 11am to 1pm only (according to our tour guide). They got a wide variety of food choices there (buffet style) and as you are eating, the boat will be cruising around the place.

10. Busay Falls

Busay falls is also located at Loboc river and see it as you ride the floating restaurant.

11. Tarsier

Tarsiers are the smallest living monkey on Earth. They got huge eyes and has a small body.

12. Aproniana Gift Shop

This is the last stop where you can find a wide variety of pasalubong. We bought peanut kisses as our pasalubong. Peanut Kisses is a sweet buttered peanut like a shape of chocolate hills or hersheys kisses. It is one good pasalubong to everyone because its price is affordable.
